Who needs to return their instruments?
Please note that not all students are required to return their instruments at this time. We need instruments returned from:

1. Students in grade 5-12 who are leaving the CPS school system either by moving away or transferring to a private or independent school.

2. Students whose instruments need to be repaired. (How do I know this? If something is broken on the instrument, or if I cannot make the instrument "speak"- in other words, no sound comes out).

3. Any 5th graders (incoming 6th) who may still have their instruments at home.

When do instruments need to be returned?
The drop off times will be from 11AM - 2PM on June 15, 16, and 17.

Where do instruments need to be returned?
Please drop off instruments at the MAIN ENTRANCE of CRLS. A teacher or staff member will be waiting at the door to take the instrument.

CRLS is located at 459 Broadway. The main entrance is the big cement doorway that faces the library.

What do I need to do before dropping off my instrument?
Any student dropping off an instrument should label the instrument case with the following information:

1. Student's Full Name
2. School
3. Grade
4. Repairs (if instrument needs repairs, just write the word "repair")

Please use a piece of paper taped to the case or masking tape as a label. Do not write directly on the case.

I'm keeping my instrument over the summer. What if it breaks before school starts?
When school starts in the Fall, everyone should bring their instrument back to school. If repairs are required, we will address any and all needs at that time.
