Good afternoon CSUS families and caregivers,

We hope you are having a great week. Our 8th graders began their Cobra Capstones yesterday, and it is wonderful to see scholars present with confidence and reflect upon their learning and growth while at CSUS. I am looking forward to 8th grade Capstones, 7th Grade Portfolio presentations, and our 6th grade scholar work breakfast in the coming week - see you there!

Library Books are Due
Email notices for overdue or lost books will be sent to caregivers on Wednesday - please check Parent Square. We appreciate any help you can provide to help your scholars locate (and remember to bring to school) any of these books!

Message from the PCO: Donate to the CSUS PCO's Year-End Challenge for a Chance at Extra Recess and a Special Treat for Your Scholar's Grade!
The CSUS Parent Caregiver Organization is raising money to pay for end-of-year field trips, and we need your help!

Here's how it works:

Click on the link for your scholar's grade: 6th grade, 7th grade, or 8th grade
Click on Donate
Give at least $5 and click Continue
Add a message or photo and click Continue
Complete your payment and click Finish

The grade that collects the most unique donations (each donor counts only once) will win 10 extra minutes of recess plus a special treat before the end of this school year. So share this link with friends, family, and co-workers, and help us raise the money our school depends on!

In addition to field trips throughout the year for grades 6, 7, and 8, here's what the CSUS PCO supports all year long:

Art, Music, Theatre, and Sports programs
Grocery gift cards for CSUS families
Teacher appreciation events

Your support makes this possible! Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the PCO this year. We still need to raise $5,000 towards our $18,000 goal to cover all of our expenses for this school year. Please consider a stretch gift to ensure we meet this goal for all of our scholars, teachers, and families!

Join the Parent Caregiver Organization (CSUS PCO) meeting this Thursday, June 13th at 7PM
The next PCO meeting will be held virtually, on Thursday, June 13th from 7-8:30PM. This is our last meeting of the school year and will focus on transition planning. We could use another current 7th grade parent or two to help out with the PCO for next year.
