Vision: Scholars will gain knowledge, voice, and agency in order to challenge individual and systemic racism and navigate successfully towards an anti-racist identity.
Mission: Individually and as a CSUS team we continually work to recognize and address the negative effects of individual and systemic racism on our scholars through anti-racist teaching and daily interactions.
- Facilitate learning and planning with faculty and staff to encourage individuals to identify their unconscious biases in an effort to be anti-racist educators.
- Promote community involvement and engagement to educate our wider community, empower and support scholars, and provide opportunities for all school community members to build their own agency on behalf of anti-racist practices.
- Build personal agency, competency, capacity, and accountability in faculty and staff to make real world connections in the classroom and fight to create and sustain district/school/classroom policies that promote equity and inclusion practices and policies through cultural proficiency and anti-racism.
- Build sustainability within our scholars, faculty and staff, school community to intentionally confront racial and cultural bias and promote equity and inclusion for all school community members.
