Good Afternoon CSUS Families and Caregivers,
I hope everyone was able to enjoy the long weekend. Happy belated Veterans Day to our community members who have served in the military.
See below for information regarding Grade 6 Health classes this week, Chromebook access and required forms, weekly homework, next week’s PCO meeting, and All City Music.
Upcoming Grade 6 Health Classes
This week, our Health teacher Ms Clark will be working to teach 6th grade students about mental health and how to seek help if they
are worried about themselves or a friend. We are using a program called SOS Signs of Suicide. The program teaches students about this difficult topic and encourages them to seek help. This is a standard part of the Grade 6 curriculum.
Given events in our community this year, Ms Clark and I wanted to make sure to highlight for families that the lessons will be happening this week.
Across the district, Grade 6 Health teachers are using a program called SOS Signs of Suicide. The program teaches students about this difficult topic and encourages them to seek help. Ms Clark sent a separate email with more specific
information about curriculum and resources.
Chromebook Access Reminder
As you know, the district has provided Chromebooks for scholars to use at school and home. Your scholar requires your signed consent on two documents, the Device User Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy, in order to maintain use of their Chromebook. Devices will be shut off and locked on Friday for any scholars without signed forms.
The required forms can be found digitally in the family portal. The AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) is in the back-to-school forms (yellow button) and the Device Agreement can be found by clicking on the second box with the signed consent
forms. See the visual below.
CSUS Homework Expectations and Weekly HW Calendars
In an effort to keep scholars, caregivers, and out of school time providers informed regarding weekly assignments,
our teaching teams are sharing weekly homework calendars. These will be posted on our website for reference and easy access.
