Good Afternoon CSUS Families and Caregivers,
Last week was a warm but wonderful final week with staff and scholars! 6th graders wrapped up their year by writing a letter of introduction to their 7th grade teachers. 7th graders impressed all in attendance with their end of year
portfolio presentations on Monday. We will miss our graduating 8th graders, and cannot wait to hear about their amazing achievements at CRLS and beyond! Our scholars are a tremendous gift, and while I wish them a happy summer I am
already eager to welcome them back in September.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff and also to you, the caregivers in our Cambridge Street community. Every school year brings its joys and challenges, and in this year I feel even more strongly that
these moments showcase the resilience, tenacity, and incomparable care of our amazing village. I appreciate your support and partnership, and thank you for entrusting us with your child’s learning. I hope everyone is able to
enjoy the summer months. Keep cool and have fun! I am looking forward to next year.
See below for additional important updates, reminders, and important dates for the summer and start of school!
Library Books and Missing Chromebooks are Due
Email notices for overdue or lost books or missing Chromebooks have been sent to caregivers - please check Parent
Square. If your child still needs to return a Chromebook or library book, please contact the CSUS Main Office at 617.349.3050 to find a time to drop them off this week.
Report Cards are Available in ASPEN
Scholars’ end of year report cards are available to view in ASPEN via this link.
Summer Reading
ELA teachers across the district created grade level book lists that are related to the topics and themes of the first units of study in middle school
ELA. Each scholar has selected one book to read from their grade level list and received a copy of the book this past week. If scholars were absent or still need to select a book, we have extras at our building over the summer. Scholars
are asked to read their books during the summer and to return in September ready to discuss with their peers in small book clubs. We are excited to use our summer reading program to launch our year-long learning in ELA classes. More
details can be found here, and we also encourage families to check out the CPS Summer Reading information website!
