In February a hardy and hard-working group of CSUS 8th graders braved the blizzards to raise $1,360 for the trip to NYC in June—by shoveling! The scholars removed snow from cars, sidewalks, and stairs. Coordinating parent Mark Gardner says requests are still coming in from residents looking for shoveling help, and more students participating would make a difference, as there is still around $9,000 yet to raise for trip scholarships.
