Good Afternoon CSUS Families and Caregivers,
I am once again writing with great appreciation for our school community and the many ways families, staff, and scholars are supporting one another. As we get continue to support learning routines, I’ve been fortunate to see scholars
hard at work across classrooms . 6th graders launched rockets, and are creating posters showing a particle model for what the air looked like inside their rockets. Last week, 7th grade scholars made rollercoasters to study motion.
Ask your 8th grade scholar about their climate projects in Science class.
Please see below for information regarding Halloween, Chromebook access and required forms, weekly homework, Family Book, Election Day Bake Sale. Also note per my separate letter, we are having a lockdown drill tomorrow. Read the letter here >>
Halloween
A quick reminder to scholars and families that the same dress expectations apply on Halloween as on every other school day and that candy - particularly
any candy containing peanuts - should not come to school.
Chromebook Access Reminder
As you know, the district has provided Chromebooks for scholars to use at school and home. Your scholar requires your signed consent on two documents, the Device User Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy, in order to maintain use of their Chromebook. Devices will be shut off and locked on Friday for any scholars without signed forms.
The required forms can be found digitally in the family portal. The AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) is in the back-to-school forms (yellow button) and the Device Agreement can be found by clicking on the second box with the signed
consent forms. See the visual below.
CSUS Homework Expectations and Weekly HW Calendars
In an effort to keep scholars, caregivers, and out of school time providers informed regarding weekly assignments,
our teaching teams are sharing weekly homework calendars. These will be posted on our website for reference and easy access.
Grade 8 Weekly Homework
Grade 7 Weekly Homework
Grade 6 Weekly Homework
Family Book
FamilyBook is a secure, online family directory available at every one of our schools. It provides contact information for the purpose of sharing information
and building community. FamilyBook is a great opportunity for families to share contact information, especially as your child’s social circle widens in middle school. Sign Up for the FamilyBook Here!
