Good afternoon CSUS parents and caregivers,
I am emailing with a few additional updates prior to our first day of school next Tuesday, September 3rd. Please see below for information about scholar schedules and links to communication from your scholar’s
grade level teaching team.
Once the year is underway, you can expect weekly Parent Square communication with whole-school information and updates on Tuesdays. Your child’s classroom teachers may reach out additionally as needed (and we of
course welcome your communication all days of the week).
Scholar Schedules
Scholar schedules are now available to view online via ASPEN at this link.
Scholars now login with their Google credentials, on the” Another Provider Option”.
New to CPS caregivers received a login id and temporary password for their ASPEN account via postal mail and/or email on Monday. Caregivers with older children already enrolled in CPS can use the same ASPEN account information for all
of their children. If you have any questions regarding how to log in to ASPEN, please contact Kimberly Gabbidon at [email protected].
Some notes on schedules:
- Schedules may change prior to September 3. Lots of things impact class scheduling! For example, we have a few new staff hires who are not in our system yet, so some teachers’ names may change or be added prior to the start of
school.
- If you see my (Ms Sammy’s) name in your schedule, it just means it is a class you will be placed in when school starts. This is intentional, and allows us to customize groupings based on scholars’ strengths, needs, and
preferences - this is the same for everyone’s schedule!

Language course selection. Scholars in our SCALE program will have unique schedules; these schedules may not be accurately reflected in ASPEN until September.

We are pleased to welcome the following new faces to Cambridge Street this fall

- Seth Hurwitz - School Psychologist
- Kendal Luptowski, formerly our Grade 8 Mathematics teacher, is continuing at CSUS in her new role as 6-8 Math Interventionist
We are in the final stages of interviewing and hiring for our 6th grade Social Studies position and will share this information with families and scholars before the start of school.
We look forward to seeing our new scholars and families (Rising 6th and new-to-CSUS 7/8th graders) this Thursday at New Scholar Orientation and we are eager to welcome our full community on September 3rd. Get ready for a great year - GO COBRAS!
