April 27, 2023

Dear CSUS Parents and Caregivers,

I hope everyone had a restful and restorative April Break! To community members who celebrated over the past few weeks, Happy Passover, Easter, and Eid Mubarak. April is also Autism Acceptance month and Arab American Heritage month. The school year always flies from April to June. Believe it or not, we are already planning for 8th grade graduation! We are pleased to share that this year’s 8th grade graduation ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 20th at 1PM at CSUS. Additional information to follow - watch for communication from your scholars’ 8th grade teachers. All CSUS scholars will dismiss early on graduation day; dismissal will be at 10:55AM for all grades on June 20. Please see below for an update about CSUS scholar artists, our upcoming school play and important upcoming dates and events.

Scholar Art on Display
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts invites you to celebrate and enjoy the artwork of young artists across all Cambridge elementary and upper schools for a district-wide exhibition at the Cambridge Multicultural Art CenterThe Young Artists show opened April 13th and culminates on April 28th, 2023. I was lucky enough to attend the opening reception Thursday prior to break and see CSUS artists’ work on display. I encourage you to stop by this week; gallery hours are Tuesday, Wednesday Friday from 10AM - 6PM and Thursday from 10AM - 8PM.
