Dear CSUS parents and caregivers,
Welcome to Cambridge Street Upper School. We are very excited about the upcoming school year and the opportunity to serve our scholars and their families!
The first day of school for all scholars is on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Upon arrival your child should report directly to the cafeteria. At 8:40AM we will transition to the auditorium for our first school- wide community meeting. If your child did not receive a class schedule or you do not yet have access to Aspen to download the schedule, no worries. We will have copies available for those that do not have a schedule with them.
We will distribute to all scholars a Take Home Tuesday Packet with information you will find useful about CSUS and upcoming events. You will also find a variety forms to complete and sign. I want to encourage you to send in those completed forms quickly. I am also making a special request for you to sign the photo consent form so that throughout the year that we celebrate the achievements and activities of our scholars on our school website.
During the summer, members of the various leadership teams from TEAM CSUS had the opportunity to delve into the data that was collected from the Panorama family and student surveys, the staff survey and staff taskforce recommendations along with the recommendations presented to me by the Student Council. I am pleased to report that much of the data we reviewed has informed our cycle of improvement. We look forward to unveiling details and initiatives over the next few weeks.
We have many upcoming events that we hope that you will be able to attend and other important dates that you should note:

Sept. 5: Parent Caregiver Organization Mtg. 6:30-8PM
Sept.12: School Site Council Mtg. 6:30-8PM
Sept.18: Early Release Day (Scholars dismissed at 12:55PM)
Sept. 19: No School Yom Kippur
Sept. 27: Back to School Night / Block Party 5:30-7:30PM
Oct. 2: After school clubs and sports begin
We will update you throughout the year with details of all of the above events and the many other exciting activities and initiatives happening this year.
